A detour to the Silver Lake and the Lemberg hut with a great view of the Nahe valley and hearty cuisine is a must. A visit to the Schmitten tunnel is definitely worth it, turning a two-hour tour into a day trip that has everything you need.
This bench was built as a community project by the municipality of Feilbingert, the Bad Sobernheim forestry office, LAG Soonwald-Nahe, and PEFC. The Douglas fir wood for the bench has grown in the Feilbingerter forest for many decades - also for you!
Good to know:
2021: 950 years of Feilbingert - 21 years of PEFC certification in the community forest. This means sustainable and nature-friendly forest management on around 200 hectares. The forest is made fit for climate change through the planting and care of mixed stands. Only as much wood is harvested as can regrow. The community forest is carefully maintained by the Bad Sobernheim forestry office so that it will still be there for us in another 900 years. The PEFC certification ensures ecologically, economically, and socially sustainable forest management.
