36th Altburg Festival 2026

Celtic folk meets the Middle Ages – in the special ambiance of the rebuilt historical Celtic settlement of Altburg near Bundenbach in the Hunsrück region. About 30 selected market stalls, demonstrations of old crafts, and Celtic life ensure a vibrant atmosphere on the museum grounds.

36th Altburg Festival – This means that this year, on the 3rd weekend in August, we will again have:
- 7 excellent bands over 3 days
- medieval minstrels and jugglers
- lively market activity at the historical medieval market
- Celtic times to touch and experience
- demonstrations of old crafts
- a large children's program
- food cooked over an open fire
- Guinness on tap
- Irish and Scottish whisky
- a fantastic fire show
