In this open carving course for children from about 8 years old and their parents, we will discover how to work safely and creatively with a carving knife. We will discuss basic carving rules, suitable types of wood, and then implement our own small projects - depending on preference, these can be simple figures, small everyday objects, walking sticks, or other ideas. The course offers an ideal opportunity for families to become active together and gain confidence in carving at home as well.
Suitable carving knives will be available on site; if desired, there will be tips at the end on what to look for when purchasing your own knife.
