Just a few steps away from the marketplace stands a striking, narrow-framed half-timbered house that houses a small, worth-seeing local museum. The house was built in 1732. The two-story building with a slightly protruding upper floor has a trapezoidal floor plan with a width of two meters facing the marketplace. In 1979, the city of Kirchberg acquired the property and subsequently renovated it as a local house. In 2016/17, the building was completely renovated.

The reopening of the museum took place in 2018. The lower area with an open foyer is intended for temporary exhibitions and events, while a permanent exhibition on the history of the town is located on the 1st floor. The museum impresses with clear structures and a well-organized design. Admission is free.
