Attention Forest Fire Danger!

Open fire in trekking camps is prohibited from a forest fire danger index of 3

Dear guests, dear outdoor fans,

please help us prevent forest fires.

Due to ongoing drought, the risk of forest fires in Rhineland-Palatinate is increasing. From a Forest Fire Danger Index (WBI) of 3 and higher, any type of open fire in the trekking camps along the Soonwaldsteig in the Soonwald-Nahe Nature Park is prohibited. This includes the use of fire pits, gas stoves or similar devices, lighters, and cigarettes.

In general, making fires and open fire in all trekking camps in the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park is strictly prohibited!

Please observe the precautionary rules for forest fire danger.

Please make sure to check the current information on the forest fire danger index via the website of the German Weather Service!

Thank you for your understanding and enjoy your stay in the wild nature!
